Sleeping until I want to get upHaving the grandchildren come to visit
Saying goodbye to the grandchildren and sending them home
Knowing what I like to eat
Not noticing when the teens in the library are getting a little boisterous because my hearing is going, going, gone
Staying home on Friday night
Playing my preferred music in the car and not having to change the channel for anyone
Looking good in the color gray because it matches my hair
Going to bed before dark
Knowing the lyrics to all the Beatle’s music
Knowing how to count back change
Knowing how to make biscuits and gravy from scratch without a recipe
Eating biscuits and gravy with no feelings of guilt
Being amazed when a toddler has better computer skills than me

Getting old is only in our mind.
Age never prevented people from doing things:

I think it is a wonderful opportunity to be in our "second childhood". Childhood is a great time to play and dream about many things. The second one offers the opportunity to play with the grandkids, dream about vacations, and to realize the pressing things in life really weren't so pressing after all.
